Get answers to common questions about IPL Neck.
Most clients need 3ā6 sessions spaced four to six weeks apart to achieve significant fading. Individual response depends on skin type, pigment depth, and sun exposure. Our clinicians evaluate your neck and create a personalized plan to reach balanced, long-lasting results.
Most clients experience mild, brief stinging or snapping sensations. No anesthesia is usually necessary; we apply topical numbing on request for extra comfort. Treatments are well tolerated and you can resume normal activities immediately afterward.
IPL Neck works best for light to medium skin tones with sunspots, freckles, or diffuse pigmentation. It also improves texture and redness. Darker skin tones may require assessment and adjusted settings to minimize risk of discoloration.
Results vary but many clients enjoy noticeably clearer neck skin for 6ā12 months. Lifespan depends on sun exposure, lifestyle, and skin care. Annual or biannual maintenance sessions plus diligent sun protection help preserve improvements and prevent recurrence of pigmentation.
Avoid sun exposure and apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily for at least two weeks. Use gentle cleansers, moisturizers, and avoid harsh exfoliants or heat treatments for 7ā14 days. Follow clinician instructions to support healing and optimal pigment clearance.
Common temporary effects include redness, mild swelling, and darkening of spots before they fade. Rare risks include blistering or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, particularly in darker skin. We perform consultation and patch testing to minimize risks and tailor settings to your skin.
