Most clients notice improvement after 2–4 sessions, scheduled four to six weeks apart. The total number depends on pigmentation depth, skin type, and healing. Your clinician will create a personalized plan to achieve optimal, lasting results.

Treatments can cause mild stinging or warmth, often described like a light rubber-band snap. Most clients tolerate it well; topical anesthetic can be applied and settings customized to maximize comfort throughout the session.

Common short-term effects include redness, mild swelling, and temporary darkening of pigmented spots that slough off within days to weeks. Blisters and scarring are rare when you follow pre- and post-care guidance and sunscreen recommendations.

You may see subtle improvement after the first session, but clearer, longer-lasting results develop over several weeks as pigmented cells are cleared and collagen remodels. Optimal enhancement usually requires the full recommended series of treatments.

IPL Décolleté treats superficial brown spots, sun damage, and some vascular discoloration effectively. It is less effective for deep or hormonal pigmentation such as melasma. A skin assessment determines suitability and whether combined treatments will improve outcomes.

You may not be a candidate if you have very dark skin tones, recent tanning or sunburn, active infection in the area, or are taking photosensitizing medications. Pregnant clients are also advised to postpone; a consult and test patch confirm safety.
